Being Unapologetically You

Ever felt overworked and emotionally spent? Desperate to quit your job, find more time and emotional freedom? Corporate workaholic & multiple-six-figure earner turned entrepreneur Apryl Thatch can relate.

And she has quite a story to tell. Hear how Apryl beat the odds, became a multiple-six-figure earner, fled her corporate job and found her true passion: helping introverted women—who crave boundaries and balance—confidently use their voices. Joy is an essential part of Apryl’s new narrative for herself and her clients. Hear how 2020 is unexpectedly her all-time favourite year. And there’s true power in being unapologetically you.

Inspiration

Journalling
Go out there and get a journal! “A journal is definitely a must-have for everyone. I highly, highly recommend that people just get a journal and just start writing. You don’t have to keep things bottled up. Start to express yourself whether it’s good, bad or indifferent. Just express yourself. It’s okay. Be free”.

Self-Care in the Corporate World

If you want to live the corporate dream but feel you are TGIF-ing your life away…

PAUSE

You need to take more time for self-care.

Self-care is not selfish. Taking time for yourself each day makes you a better employee, friend, parent, person.

Surround yourself with joy. Literally. If that means decking out your cubicle, go for it! Photos, essential oils, crystals… the works. Whatever it is you need to bring joy to your space.

If you want to take a vacation, take the vacation. Don’t be so caught up in the corporate grind that you completely lose yourself, neglect yourself, and neglect the valuable relationships in your life.

Joy Inventories

If you struggle to establish balance and boundaries in your life, joy inventories are for you. Just because you can do something, that doesn’t mean you should do it.

First ask yourself…
Do I have to do it? Do I need to do it? And do I want to do it?

Depending on your answers to those questions…
Exercise your right to say NO.

Get on this freedom wave! You can be free to be yourself and surround yourself with people who love that about you, who celebrate you coming out of whatever turtle shell, closet, rock where you’ve been hiding… Be free.

Style Notes

Do you feel free to express yourself? Does your personal style fully embrace the person you are? The person you want to be?

After many years of hiding behind baggy clothes, Apryl is now embracing her femininity. She loves her hourglass figure. She loves her statement tops, her colourful nail polish. She loves her discount designer flip-flops. And she wears her hair how she pleases.

Dress for yourself.

My personal style is beginning to reflect the freedom that I feel emotionally.
